Lifeschool - Frequently Asked Questions
LifeSchool is the final stage of our high school–level program, consisting of a three-year curriculum. It can be implemented optionally in Grades 9–11, with an additional Grade 8 or preparatory year option depending on the school structure.
LifeSchool is primarily designed as a high school program with a three-year structure. Depending on the school’s academic model, it may begin in Grade 8 or a preparatory year. The content is organized not by school grade, but as Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3.
The LifeSchool Program is built around eight academies, each consisting of core themes and subtopics. The content focuses on global issues that support high school students’ future-oriented thinking, interests, and career pathways. Academic topics typically explored at postgraduate levels are adapted appropriately for the high school level. Instead of themes, the program is organized around academies.
LifeSchool includes 8 academies. Each academy has its own subtopics, and the program is completed by exploring different focus areas at each grade level:
Awareness Academy
Media Academy
Ecological Literacy Academy
Performing Arts Academy
Learning Sciences Academy
New World & Technology Academy
Arts & Culture Academy
Business & Entrepreneurship Academy
LifeSchool lessons are structured around videos and books. Teachers introduce each lesson through videos and then continue the learning process using the book-based activities.
LifeSchool is implemented as one class hour per week and follows a 36-week annual plan.
At the end of each academy, students complete project-based work. These projects are evaluated by teachers and also encourage students to participate in national and international projects and organizations.
Yes. Students receive a completion project certificate for at least one project completed during the academic year. These certificates can be used in applications, particularly for international opportunities. In addition, students receive an Academy Participation Certificate at the end of each academy.
The LifeSchool Project Coordination Unit supports students’ participation in national and international projects by coordinating with school LifeSchool coordinators, organizing regular student meetings, and providing guidance. Implementing schools apply to various organizations using LifeSchool student projects and facilitate student participation.
Special events such as Meetings with Experts, Large-Scale Project Fairs, and Sustainable Development–Focused Project Festivals are organized for students. In addition, customized events can be designed based on the specific needs of each institution.
